The video documents the artist's daily life as she applies make-up to a multifaceted mirror, the whole act being a process of self-discovery for the artist.

 

The ID photo is a microcosm of a rational world, an objective existence. The surgical line is an aesthetic scale from the outside world of others. The video captures the abnormal, deformed, denial of acceptance of the mental state of the self and the current state of the eroded true self from an everyday perspective, aiming to highlight the severity and horror of this state.

 

The artist is unable to affirm her true self because of her appearance anxiety, she wants to exist in the real world as a decorated and glorified being. Appearance anxiety prevents her from looking at her true self, always in the gaze of the self and the gaze of others.
